I was born in Zaragoza, Spain, moving to Puerto Rico at a later age. I have been painting since early childhood and acquired this talent without any formal training. My artwork is inspired by a combination of memories of having grown up on the island of Puerto Rico, of places I've traveled, experiences, nature, fantasy, beauty and color, which I interpret onto canvas.
I work with acrylics, watercolor, pastel and digital media. For digital media, my artwork is produced using an iPad with an Apple Pencil and my finger to translate figures, bright colors and details into an image or story. The effect is both intense and dramatic.
As I've sought to expand and further develop my artistic talents, I am blessed to have met and become friends with Lucy Llera, a native of Cayey, Puerto Rico, and well-known San Antonio artist. Lucy has been instrumental in the role of mentoring me in my work. Her advice and guidance has been invaluable and I am grateful for her friendship.
I have been blessed to have displayed and sold my artwork and jewelry at the following venues:
